In addition to her prolific medical expertise, Esther has
survived her own set of life challenges. As a
young adult she
conquered diphtheria, tuberculosis and cancer. But Esther’s
most difficult obstacle
came through political pressures that eventually lead to her father’s death.
These compelling
milestones have profoundly influenced her
commitment to dedicate her life to
healing.
Dr. Ting arrived in Los Angeles in 1982, and since has
devoted her life to expanding awareness of
traditional
Chinese medicine in the United States. As owner and founder
of Ting’s Healing Center in
Santa Monica in 1985, Dr. Ting has created
one of the preeminent acupuncture clinics in Los Angeles.
Her
plainspoken advice coupled with her generous healing spirit
has attracted patients from all walks
of
life, including
Hollywood celebrities. Voted in 1995 “Best Acupuncturist” by Los
Angeles Magazine,
Dr. Ting
has appeared on television and
radio, and lectures extensively throughout the Southern
California
area.
Esther’s experience and expertise have also made her a
celebrity in her native Shanghai, where
she appears regularly
on television and in print. Dr. Ting is an active member of the
Professional
Association of Acupuncturists and the California
Acupuncture Association and is the proud grandmother
of two
grandchildren. |
